Individual Therapy

Due to our humanity, we, as individuals, encounter difficulties in our lives and relationships.  When these problems are negatively affecting our lives on a daily basis, it can be helpful to have a trusted therapist to openly discuss thoughts and feelings within a safe environment. I offer caring, non-judgmental, and confidential therapy services to help others better understand and manage the challenges they face.  You can expect to be treated with respect, understanding, and compassion while also being challenged to overcome burdens and look to a brighter future ahead.

Adolescent Therapy

Adolescents today are faced with numerous challenges. Teens struggle with changing relationships, defining self, belonging, extreme emotions, determining a healthy social balance, and making good decisions.  This can lead to problems such as depression, anxiety, poor school performance, self injury, withdrawal, anger, acting out, and drug/alcohol use.

Adolescents benefit from a counselor who can provide a nonjudgmental environment. I hope to empower them to identify and understand their emotions, build confidence and maturity, and improve problem solving skills to better manage the challenges they face.  I strive to build safe, encouraging, honest and open relationships with my adolescent clients.  I consult regularly with parents/guardians throughout the counseling process as we work together in helping the adolescent reach desired goals.

Family Therapy

Family Therapy is available to help the family work through challenges and create effective and healthy relationships that impact the family now and in the future.  Family therapy may involve all or just a few of the family members to help resolve conflicts, improve relationships, address behavioral issues, and adjust to major life issues. This includes work with traditional families, blended families, and non-traditional families on issues such as: parent-child conflicts, communication problems, grief/loss, transitions after divorce or separation, and family discord.
